Meet Tom Ragan

Tom has the savvy & skill set necessary to produce engaging abd captivating content. He brings his sense of precision and detail with a warm and collaborative approach to every project he takes on, aiming to get to the heart of each story.

Tom has over 20 years of professional experience in short form digital content and feature length documentaries. With a rich background working on feature documentaries such as Funny You Never Knew, Mission Blue and Prayer for a Perfect Season, as well as producing, shooting and editing for companies such as USA Today, NFL Player Engagement, Warrior Lacrosse, and UN Women.

Tom ran The Studio at WESST for 4 years where he oversaw the production and screening facility and lead

programs that served entrepreneurs, filmmakers, and community organizations. He produced and directed award-winning content including a commercial campaign that won a Telly Award.

Tom is the Board President of the New Mexico Film Foundation with the goal to foster independent filmmakers in the state of New Mexico.

After 10 years in New York City, he now calls Albuquerque home.

Meet Julian Gowdy

Julian Gowdy was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and embarked on an unexpected journey into filmmaking after being transformed by writing during recovery. While his wasn’t the traditional filmmaking route, his passion for storytelling emerged when he penned his first script.

His unorthodox approach led to notable projects, including the award-winning short film “The He/She Bang” which is making the film festival circuit.

His first feature film, the “The Devil’s Tongue” was called a ‘riveting directorial debut that feels original, authentic, and unfiltered’ and that it ‘stands out as a fresh example of true independent filmmaking from a fresh new voice.’

With his latest feature film “A Time Machine Story,” which he both wrote and directed, Julian continues to embrace challenges with a focus on inclusivity and the belief that anyone can participate in the creative process. He strives to make this world accessible to aspiring creators in recovery.

Julian is the Board Treasurer of the New Mexico Film Foundation with the goal to foster independent filmmakers in the state of New Mexico.
